Roman Balatskiy

Life and Ministry

Roman Balatsky was born on June 1, 1991, in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. At the age of 8, he moved to Sacramento, California, USA. Roman grew up in a Christian family and knew about God from childhood. In his teenage years, there was a conscious repentance when his parents gave him his first personal Bible. This Bible became the Word that nourished and transformed his heart. In 2009, Roman entered into a covenant with God through holy water baptism and began serving in the Baptist Bible Church. In 2011, Roman met and fell in love with Svetlana Burachek. In the same year, they were married. As a family, they serve God in the church: Roman preaches and leads the youth, while Svetlana and the children sing. In 2023, Roman was ordained into the pastoral ministry. Currently, he is responsible for the youth department.

Personal

God has blessed Roman and his wife Svetlana with three daughters. In his free time, Roman enjoys reading, painting, listening to documentaries, or podcasts.

Favorite Christian Books:

1. "Don't Waste Your Life": In this book, John Piper narrates that a person has only one life, and it can be spent in various ways. The only way not to waste life is to spend it for God.

2. "Precious Christ": In this book, Alexey Kolomiytsev describes the absolute superiority of Jesus Christ over everything. The beauty of Christ's love expressed in His sufferings for us. The book emphasizes that nothing in the Christian's life should be more precious than Christ.

Favorite Book in the Bible

Genesis and the Epistle to the Romans - these books are interconnected. Genesis is the beginning of everything, including sin. Genesis raises unresolved questions. The Epistle to the Romans is the resolution of all problems and, most importantly, the solution to the problem of sin.
